A Letter from the Guilford County Council of PTAs

Greetings, Guilford County PTA Family!

I hope this message finds you well and energized for another fantastic year of advocating for the children and families of Guilford County!

As we reflect on the past year, we are proud of the progress we've made in strengthening our community impact. We've quietly reestablished our presence on the Enrichment Fund Board of Directors and forged meaningful partnerships with Shift_Ed and the Guilford County Board of Education Legislative Committee. These efforts are laying the groundwork for our continued success.

Looking ahead to the upcoming year, our focus will remain on expanding support for Guilford County through new grant opportunities, as well as increasing our family and community engagement initiatives. To achieve these ambitious goals, however, we need your help.

Consider joining our board!

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated paid PTA members to fill key leadership roles, including (See Article 6 - Officers and Article 7 - Board of Directors in the Uniform Bylaws for North Carolina PTA Councils for a detailed explanation of each role.):

Must-Have Roles:

• President

• Secretary

• Treasurer

• Committee Chairs (Advocacy, Nominations, Audit)

Good-to-Have Roles:

• Vice President of Membership

• Vice President of Community Engagement

• At-Large Board Members

• Additional Committee Chairs (appointed at the discretion of the Council President)

The official slate of candidates will be announced on June 20, 2025. A virtual meeting will be held at 7:00 PM EST on Monday, June 30, 2025, where all voting will take place. We will send out a meeting invitation in advance.
